Elbaf Mini Arcs
Arrival & Block Kingdom (Episodes 1156–1159)
The Straw Hats finally reach the land of the giants – or half of them do. While the rest of the crew sails on with the Giant Warrior Pirates, Luffy’s group wakes up trapped inside Block Kingdom, a miniature diorama ruled by the self-styled Sun God, and has to escape before they ever set foot in the real Elbaf. It’s a light, strange detour before the arc’s reunion banquet – and its darker threads – take over.
Loki, the Accursed Prince (Episodes 1160–1161)
Deep below Elbaf, in the lightless Underworld, Luffy finds Prince Loki chained to a tree – imprisoned for murdering his own father, King Harald, and seizing the nation’s legendary Devil Fruit. Instead of fearing him, Luffy does what he always does: he makes a deal with the monster, promising to break the chains in exchange for information. It’s the decision the rest of the arc hangs on.
Reunions: Robin & Saul (Episodes 1162–1165)
Twenty-two years after Ohara, Robin finally gets the reunion the series has been promising since Enies Lobby. Saul survived – scarred, hidden, and carrying Ohara’s will in the form of its salvaged books – and his resolve to protect that history becomes the emotional core of the arc. Enjoy the warmth while it lasts: these episodes end with intruders already hunting for Loki.
The Knights of God Arrive (Episodes 1166–1167)
Two figures step out of a summoning circle in the Underworld: Manmayer Gunko and her commander, Figarland Shamrock – a man wearing Shanks’ face. They haven’t come to invade; they’ve come to recruit, offering Loki a seat among the Knights of God, and his contemptuous refusal tells you everything about the prince. When words fail, they leave him bleeding and start looking for softer leverage.
Elbaf’s History (Episodes 1168–1169)
As Shamrock confirms he’s Shanks’ older twin and leaves Loki to his three-headed sword, Robin reads the Harley – Elbaf’s sacred mural, an ancient record of two worlds that already ended and a third still to come. Meanwhile, the hunt for the key to Loki’s chains leads the Straw Hats to Aurust Castle’s empty throne room, where a familiar old pirate is waiting for them on the throne.
Loki Freed (Episodes 1170–1171)
The key’s keeper is Scopper Gaban, left hand of the Pirate King – and he doesn’t hand it over. Luffy has to fight for it, in the first real test of whether the new Emperor belongs in this company; he passes. So as the giants watch in horror, the most dangerous man in Elbaf stands up, stretches, and smiles for the first time in years.
The Holy Knights’ Assault (Episodes 1172–1176)
With Loki loose, the Knights switch to the plan Shamrock outlined: Elbaf’s children. Killingham drags the schoolchildren’s nightmares into reality and seizes the island’s broadcasts, Sommers rings the hostages in invisible thorns, and Gunko walks through the Straw Hats sent to stop her. The Knights aren’t trying to win a battle – they’re breaking a nation’s nerve, one child at a time.
Imu’s Descent (Episodes 1177–1180)
The hostage game turns Elbaf’s strength into its weakness. Gaban’s stand against the Knights of God ends with him forced to choose between the fight and his own son – and then Imu stops watching from Mary Geoise and takes Gunko’s body directly. The season closes with Dorry and Brogy, Elbaf’s greatest heroes, transformed into demons and ordered to kill their own elder: the single bleakest cliffhanger the anime has ever ended a season on.
The anime’s first Elbaf season ended at episode 1180 (September 27, 2026); the story continues when the anime returns in 2027, picking up at chapter 1151.
