One Piece Episode 1165: “A Welcome with Friends’ Cups and Intruders Seeking Loki”

Chopper and Bonney try to read one of the giant books in the library. Saul explains that the owl in charge is named Biblo, and he enlarges any book that enters the space. Lilith figures out that Biblo is using the power of the Iku Iku no Mi. Chopper hopes there are medical books available, and Saul confirms there are, but since they come from Elbaph they will stay giant-sized.

Meanwhile, Luffy launches one of the Sun World swings high into the air, scaring two giant kids and Usopp who are riding with him. Nami hits Luffy for it while the kids run to Gerd for comfort. Sanji gets annoyed when one of the kids presses into Gerd while staring at her. Luffy tells Usopp he is disappointed with how peaceful Elbaph is, but Usopp says it is not a bad thing.

Colon vs Luffy

Colon suddenly appears and attacks Luffy with a wooden sword, but it breaks on impact. Luffy responds with an Elephant Gun punch into the ground in front of him. Usopp tries to calm things down as the other kids panic, but Luffy is impressed that Colon has some fight in him. Colon gets excited after seeing Luffy’s strength and mocks the other kids while they call him a delinquent. Ripley shows up and scolds Colon for attacking Luffy but still praises his first strike. Colon gives her the basket he was carrying and tells the Straw Hats his father is a human and a former pirate.

Luffy’s group heads to the Owl Library. Robin decides to stay behind and talk with Saul during the feast. Lilith and Bonney go to handle their permits, and Franky stays to study the Treasure Tree Adam. Before splitting up, Gerd gives Robin, Franky, Brook, and Jinbe Elbaph-style clothes. The rest of the crew heads to the village with her.

Where is Loki?

At Aurust Castle near the Western Village, two giant guards confront a pair of hooded figures. One of them, with messy light hair and bandages covering their face, asks where Loki is. The guards refuse because Loki is a criminal. The hooded figure attacks with rapid bandage-like projectiles, causing one guard to collapse in pain. They then make it clear they are not asking but ordering the giants to reveal Loki’s location.

At the Western Village, the Straw Hats arrive and the giants welcome them with a toast for defeating Kaidou and Big Mom. Luffy recognizes Stansen, who reminds him they met at the Human Auctioning House on Sabaody and that he owes him his freedom. The elder Jarul, the oldest giant at 408 years old, arrives riding a svarr. Luffy points out the sword stuck in his head, and Jarul says his helmet stopped it, though it is close to cutting all the way through.
