As the group leaves the castle, Nami complains that she found no treasure, which was why she joined them. Road tells her to stop saying that around the injured guards while pretending nothing happened. Elsewhere, Ripley shows Franky the Treasure Tree Adam’s branches, where the Giants live. She explains that the village of Haugen once stood on a branch until lightning started a fire that would not stop. The Giants eventually cut the branch down. Franky is surprised that the tree can weaken with age, but Ripley says Elbaph’s main weaknesses are fire and lightning.
At the feast, Usopp drunkenly asks Nami where Luffy and Zoro are, and she says they are exploring. He introduces her to Jarul, then hits the sword in Jarul’s head after learning he likes older women. Dorry scolds Usopp for hitting him but claims he can remove it, but Brogy warns Jarul would bleed to death. Nami explains that Usopp is celebrating because he finally reached Elbaph.
Sanji notices Gerd is absent and learns that Road brought the injured guards to her. Road lies about what happened and tries to stop Gerd from waking them or consulting Jarul. He fears being blamed for helping Luffy free Loki, though he secretly wants Loki gone. Gerd becomes suspicious and attacks Road, demanding the truth.
Luffy frees Loki
Down in the Underworld, Luffy and Zoro find the injured animals and Loki. Luffy tries to unlock Loki’s Seastone chains, but quickly loses his strength. Zoro warns him not to free Loki because of the rumors about him and the danger he could pose to Elbaph. To confirm Loki is truly injured, Zoro kicks one of his wounds, causing him to scream.
Zoro agrees to remove most of the chains while leaving one shackle attached to prevent Loki from using his Devil Fruit. Luffy wants to get Chopper, but Zoro suggests having Gerd treat him instead. Luffy also plans to find Loki some meat, but refuses to eat the injured animals because they are his friends.
As Luffy leaves to find a doctor, the New Giant Warrior Pirates and Sanji fall from the sky after their Svarr malfunctions in the Underworld’s climate. Luffy saves them with Gomu Gomu no Fusen, though they are still injured. Hajrudin begs Luffy not to free Loki, calling him cruel and untrustworthy, but they arrive too late. Loki is already free and standing despite his injuries, so Hajrudin begs him to release his weapon, Ragnir.
