Top 10 Strongest My Hero Academia Quirks (Part 2)

Check out the first half of this list here.

5. Rewind

Quirk Type: Emitter

A Quirk created as a result of a rare mutation, Eri’s Rewind ability isn’t connected to her family. Eri has the ability to “reverse a living being’s body back to a previous state.” Kai Chisaki claimed that he Quirk was so powerful that Eri could “rewind genetics.” Due to Eri’s current age she lacks control over her ability. Through training with Shota Aizawa, she has developed greater control. Her Quirk can bring back injures and undo them. If she can’t control herself she could erase someone from existence. Rewind’s effects are limited to organic materials.

4. Decay

Quirk Type: Emitter

Tomura Shigaraki’s Decay Quirk is a mutation like Eri’s Rewind. He can destroy anything her touches with his hands. Whether it’s organic material or not, he can revert everything to dust. The Decay effect can function like a chain, spreading from where Tomura touched. If he touches a person, they will need to cut of the infected limb other wise their body will rot. Due to Tomura having to touch with his fingers his Quirk can be limited if he ever lost his hands.

3. Overhaul

Quirk Type: Emitter

Overhaul is a Quirk that’s similar to Tomura’s Decay. However, unlike Tomura’s Quirk, Kai Chisaki’s Overhaul ability let’s him destroy and reassemble. Kai can target specific parts of the human body, destroy it, restore it, or transform it. It’s an instant process and can work on living and non-living things. Kai can form “holes, walls, spikes, and platforms anywhere in his surroundings from a single point.” Overhaul permits Kai to combine two different objects including different beings, allowing the user to use both of their Quirks. In the series, Kai lost his arms after Tomura Shigaraki and Atsuhiro Sako destroyed them. He can no longer use his Quirk. Regardless, it’s one of the most versatile Quirks.

2. One For All

One For All is the current Quirk of Izuku Midoriya. It’s a transferable Quirk that must be willingly given. For this reason One For All cannot be stolen by All For One. One For All allows it’s user to stockpile raw power, enhancing all physical abilities to a super human level. The power can be focused on a single body part or spread throughout the body. If the user already has a Quirk, One For All can increase its power as well. One For All increases in power when transferred from user to user. Izuku is the only user to have access the Quirks of the previous users making his version the strongest. One For All also allows the user to have access to the consciousnesses of previous users.

Despite all this power, One For All has a few limitations. First, the Quirk requires the user to be strong enough to handle it. If they’re too weak the user can be blown apart. One For All can deplete the lifespan of the user if they have another Quirk. It has been speculated by previous users that One For All can be stolen if the collective will of its users are overwhelmed. The assimilated Quirks One For All possess, an unknown Quirk, Fa Jin, Danger Sense, Blackwhip, Smokescreen, and Float are weak on their own but together have potential.

1. All For One

Tomura Shigaraki is the current user of All For One. The Quirk grants the user the ability to steal Quirks from others and use them. Furthermore, the user can bestow Quirks onto others. All For One can combine Quirks, resulting in new and more powerful techniques. Unlike One For All, All For One can absorb more than one Quirk at a time. All For One can render someone a mindless doll if given to a weak host. The effectiveness of the Quirks stolen by All For One is limited by the abilities of the user.

The original All For One user claimed “he did not want to steal Best Jeanist’s Fiber Master, as it required too much training and experience to truly master.” Dr. Kyudai claims that if the “memory” (amount of power of the Quirk) exceeds the “hardware” (the body of the user) then it will cause problem. The amount of Quirks that can be used or stolen is limited by the health of the users body. After All For One absorbed Dr. Kyudai’s Life Force Quirk, the user is granted “agelessness.”

The top two Quirks were always going to be One For All and All For One. I think One For All is overall weaker because it can only gain new Quirks from one user at a time. Furthermore, only the Quirkless can make good use of One For All, which means less than 20% of humanity can use it. With that population declining eventually One For All might become difficult to use.

What do you think? Is All For One better than One For All? What about the top ten?

  1. It’s definitely tough between those top 2 powers. I would probably go with One for All still being the strongest overall just because I feel like having both speed and power is pretty unmatched although All for One has some good ways around that. My Top 10 off the top would probably be

    10. Futuresight (From that guy who died a few seasons ago)
    9. Barriers (Nine’s quirk from the movie)
    8. Ice & Cold (Todoroki)
    7. Power of Love (Gentle Criminal’s quirk)
    6. Burning (Endeavor’s quirk)
    5. Super athleticism (Mirko’s quirk since it seems to come with speed and strength)
    4. Super Speed (Forget the exact name, but Ida’s quirk)
    3. Permeation (I feel like the author had Mirio lose his powers because of how deadly this ability is
    2. All For One
    1. One For All

Definitely a lot of cool quirks out there for sure. I’d love to have a super power, if they were real that’d be so much fun

    1. I didn’t include movie Quirks, but Nine would definitely be in my top 10. I have a bias in favor of physical power so I didn’t include Quirks like futuresight.

Permeation is a Quirk that is made good by hard work. I’m not sure anyone other than Mirio would have been able to excel with Permeation. It’s a Quirk that is difficult to use.

      1. Yeah Permeation seems to me like it’s got the highest risk but one of the highest rewards to it. Like if you mess up and only partially phase through something it could even be fatal which is crazy
