The battle between Deku and Tomura has now moved out to sea after Tomura uses Decay to rot away and sink a massive part of Shizuoka Prefecture. He taunts that at this rate, he could sink all of Japan within a week—leaving the country with no hope of recovery. But Deku refuses to back down. Using Gearshift, Fa Jin, and Danger Sense together, he launches an all-out assault. To handle the harsh ocean winds, he straps on his respirator, pushing his body to its limits. Even so, he still hasn’t found a way to finish Tomura for good.
Meanwhile, Tomura senses All For One’s death and blames Dynamight for it, claiming his interference only made his master stronger. With a twisted sense of gratitude, he thanks him. Tomura then charges forward, matching Deku’s speed, and tries to use both All For One and Decay at once by grabbing Deku’s face.
Deku reacts just in time, slicing off Tomura’s fingers thanks to Danger Sense. He escapes unharmed—physically, at least. Daigoro then warns Deku that Hikage, along with Danger Sense’s Quirk Factor, has been stolen. More could’ve been taken if not for Hikage’s last-second move to push the others away from the “hand” invading the vestige world before being pulled in himself.
Tomura steals Danger Sense
Tomura doesn’t seem too impressed by Danger Sense now that it’s his, but he’s not about to complain—it’s another weapon he can use to crush Deku. He proves it right away, dodging Deku’s barrage of Gearshift-powered Blackchains with ease before countering with a massive blast of energy from his hand. Deku blocks the attack by wrapping himself in Blackwhip tendrils, but the force sends him skipping across the ocean like a stone. As he keeps up the assault, Tomura mocks Deku, asking why he still insists on seeing him as human—when that part of him is long gone.
Deku crashes near the base of Mt. Fuji. As he loosens the Blackwhip around him, his mask crumbles in his hands. Inside One For All, Bruce points out that only Danger Sense’s Quirk Factor was stolen—the stockpiled strength is safe. But with the risk of One For All itself being stolen now, En urges Deku to retreat.
Ignoring the warning, Deku powers One For All up to 100% in his right arm, shattering his Mid-Gauntlet as he reinforces it with Blackwhip. Tomura’s Danger Sense flares—Deku plants his feet, charges his muscles, and unleashes everything he stored with Fa Jin. The result: an enormous Delaware Smash that rockets Tomura into the air and tears apart the ground corrupted by Decay.
Deku pushes through the pain
Inside the thick cloud of dust, Tomura realizes that tearing up the ground can stop Decay from spreading—but it’s useless. He can just touch it again. Danger Sense flares, but he can’t see anything. The dust refuses to settle, hanging in the air like a fog. Suddenly, a barrage of Blackwhips and a Blackchain erupt from below! Danger Sense rings out once more, and Tomura swings forward with an instinctive punch, only for Deku to dive in from above! He slams his enhanced arm straight into Tomura’s, shattering the Villain’s hand. Using sharp instincts, Deku spreads Smokescreen and infuses it with Low Gear speed, creating a thick haze to strike from. With Blackwhip and Blackchain flying in from all directions, he throws off Tomura’s Danger Sense and keeps the Villain guessing.
But the momentum doesn’t last. As Deku charges up more kinetic energy with Fa Jin, En’s voice warns him—Tomura can find him instantly with Search. And he does. Rivet Stabs shoot out in every direction, forcing Deku on the defensive. Then, just when he needs it most, Gearshift runs out. His body freezes, the recoil hitting hard.
Even so, Deku refuses to give up. Pushing through the pain, he rockets forward with Fa Jin, reaching for the crying boy still trapped inside Tomura. But his kick misses—Tomura dodges effortlessly, standing tall amid the chaos.
Time to give up
Tomura says that everyone sees the world only through their own perspective and twists anything that doesn’t fit to make themselves feel better. He tells Deku that he’s doing the same by still trying to see him as his old self, even though that part of him is long gone. According to Tomura, he’s expanded his worldview and nothing is holding him back anymore.
In the vestige realm, Nana hears his words. Even though she once supported Deku’s goal of saving Tomura, she admits that it’s time to give up — Tomura is beyond saving. She calls him the greatest wall Deku’s ideals could ever face and says it’s better to destroy it in one blow than try to climb over it.
Deku refuses. He tells Nana that if Tomura was truly gone, he wouldn’t still be holding onto his childhood memories. Nana tears up as Deku charges forward, saying he’ll keep punching until that lid breaks. Kudo worries about what’s coming, but he knows this is what drives Deku — his belief that everyone has a heart no matter who they are or how they were born.
One For All starts to break
Suddenly, Star and Stripe’s vestige appears and points out a crack inside Tomura’s core, saying there’s still a sad child inside. Meanwhile, the real All Might, barely hanging on as Edgeshot watches over him, says he can feel the core of One For All starting to break apart. In the vestige realm, Kudo closes his eyes and tells Deku exactly what he must do next — part ways with One For All, shocking the other vestiges.
The boy tries to steady himself and asks Kudo what he means by giving up One For All. Kudo tells him to calm down before Tomura picks up on their thoughts. He points out a weak spot inside Tomura’s core — a mental scar left behind by Star and Stripe’s attack.
Kudo explains that at this rate, Tomura’s power will completely overwhelm Deku. Their only chance is to hit him from the inside. His plan is to transfer One For All directly into Tomura’s scar to tear it open and leave his mind exposed. Deku and En push back, thinking it’s too risky, but Kudo clarifies that it’s a partial, forceful transfer — not a full handover.
Time to gamble
He admits it’s a gamble, so he volunteers to test it using Gearshift. Thanks to Hikage’s sacrifice, they know partial transfers can work. If the plan succeeds, Kudo can strike Tomura’s core without losing his Quirk. En tries to take his place, arguing Smokescreen is more expendable, but Kudo refuses. He says if Deku stays stuck, he’ll die, and losing Gearshift now will remove the recoil delay. Plus, if Tomura tries to use it, he’ll be forced into recoil and left defenseless.
Once everyone agrees, Kudo turns to Deku for his decision. Deku stands, says he’ll do it, and covers himself in Blackwhip tendrils as he lets out a scream.
From above, Tomura launches an attack but Danger Sense activates, and he gets his arm sliced off again — this time by a Blackwhip tendril moving at impossible speed. Tomura looks down and mocks Deku, saying he doesn’t look very heroic anymore. With his upper costume shredded and his face wrapped in Blackwhip, Deku now looks almost feral, with tendrils crawling from his neck and forming claws around his hands.
As the episode ends, the two face each other for what looks like their final battle. Inside Deku’s clawed hand, the core of One For All begins to glow.
