Rock, Paper, Scissors
Mob and Reigen get a new job offer from a rich business owner. They arrive to a room full of psychics. We are reintroduced to Shinra Banshomaru-san, introduced to his sinister boss, Jodo Kirin, Rising Sun Spiritual Union President. He seemed skeptical of Reigen or should I say Mob defeating the Dragger. Anyway, Matsuo from the last season returns as well. The wealthy business owner is, Asagiri Masashi. He wants the psychics to help his fourteen year old daughter, Asagiri Minori. He believes that she is possessed. Reigen steps up to fix the problem, but is meet with opposition. The other psychic get upset, but Mr. Asagiri suggest playing rock-paper-scissor to decide. Reigen pulls his usually con job. He states that he will throw “paper” then he said he might go with “scissors.” Regardless, he somehow wins the whole thing.

The old it’s him not me routine
Reigen goes into the room to speak with Minori. The conversation is polite enough, but she makes an accusation that her father was abusing her. Reigen is unfazed. He walks out, Jodo claims that she’s normal. His associate goes in. Reigen claims that there’s “something” wrong with Minori. He says that he didn’t feel like he was speaking to a child. After shaming the other psychic for being a fool, the demon possessed Minori throws Udo threw the glass.
Enter Mogami Keiji
Dimple is frighten, when realizes that the ghost is Mogami Keiji. Having died 40 years prior, Keiji was a “good psychic who used seances and channeling to save people.” However, he was secretly an assassin. He attempt to absorb Dimple, Keiji tells him that he plans on “willfully shuffle off this mortal coil soon and become a powerful vengeful spirit.” He claims that he wants “revenge.” Mogami Keiji faces off against Jodo, who he defeats easily. Taking control over his body he sends Jodo into the crowd, Reigen uses his Anti-Possession Jumping Knee Strike to knock out Jodo. What’s surprising is that Mob is powerless to stop him. Keiji then impales Minori’s father.

Mob’s failure
Mob steps up his game. However, he admits that Keiji is stronger than he is. Mob determines that the only way he can defeat Keiji is by entering the body of Minori and expelling him. So far in this series we have seen Mob grow both emotional and psychically. He’s been learning more nuisance psychic abilities from villains. He trust Dimple to possess his body while he’s unconscious. When Mob leaves his body, Keiji attacks him. Dimple takes over and they fight hand to hand. Mob enters Minori’s body and faces Keiji inside. When it looks like Mob has the upper hand, Keiji knocks him down and turns him into stone. Mob awakens, according to Keiji he has altered his memories and Mob can’t use ESP. He plans on watch how Mob act without his powers.

The ending to this episode was unexpected to say the least. It’s no spoiler that Mob gets his powers back, but how and why is still unclear. Mob has always struggled with having powers, I wonder how he will react in this new “World.” BONES really step up the animation this episode, particularly with the variety of scenes, playing with color then later with texture. Mob’s battle are rarely difficult, even though I know he’s going to win I’m excited to see how. Regardless, this episode did make me concerned for Mob and that’s not a small feat.
