90. Shuisui vs Starkk
This battle gets interrupted, splitting it in two. The first half wasn’t taken very seriously by either combatant. However, after the interruption they decided to get serious. As Starrk is about to kill Love and Rose, Kyoraku takes this opportunity stab him from the shadows. Kyoraku explains the ability of his Zanpakuto. He explains that his Zanpakutō “was not in the mood for that game” and it “doesn’t like playing with it because it jerks him around”. He fights using a “color-based game” that results in Kyoraku killing Starkk, by using the color black.
89. Genkai vs Shishiwakamaru
Shishi battles against a weaken Genkai, Shishi uses the “chorus of a thousand souls” killing many in the audience. Genkai quickly evaded this technique, enraging Shishi. Shishi fails to kill her, due to Genkai reflects his energy back at him. Genkai easily overpowers him, steal most of his energy and using it to power her “Spirit Reflection Blast“.
88. Spike vs Pierrot Le Fou
Spike accidentally comes upon a massacre of several men. Mad Pierrot notices him an begins to fire several shots at Spike, with his cane gun. However, his bullets don’t have an effect on Pierrot as he seems to have a shield of some sort. Mad best Spike in hand to hand combat. Staring down the barrel of a gun, Spike is given a reprieve in the form of a stray cat. While distracted, Spike takes this opportunity to blow up a propane tank and flee. However, Mad is untouched and wound’s Spike with a throwing knife. Spike flee’s from him and manages to get away.Spike and Mad do battle at an amusement park. Spike steps on a mine field an is propelled on a roller coaster then he falls into a river.
Having successfully swam to the shore, Mad shows up a tells him “its Showtime”. He fires a series of rockets at Spike who manages to evaded them. Mad appears to finally gain and insurmountable advantage, then a toy cat falls to the grown and starts meowing. He loses his mind like before in the alley allowing Spike to have another advantage, and he flees. Mad catches up to him and shoots him in the shoulder. Spike throws a dagger a him, resulting in Mad falling to the ground and cry’s like a child. As he cry’s on the floor in a tantrum he’s stepped on by a giant robot mascot and dies.
87. Kimimaro vs Rock Lee
While trying to retrieve Sasuke, Naruto encounters Kimimaro. Naruto fails to make a head way with Kimimaro, however Rock Lee intervenes. Initially Kimimaro has the natural advantage as Rock Lee’s fighting style is too “linear”. However, Lee drinks some “medicine” that was actually sake. He appears drunk and starts using a “drunken style” technique, he began’s to beat Kimimaro. Lee starts to sober up losing his edge and Kimimaro attempt to kill him. Gaara arrives just in time to save him.
86. Goku vs Burter and Jeice
After Recoome’s quick defeat, Burter and Jeice attempt to defeat Goku. After dodging effortlessly dodging their attacks , he appears behind Burter. Burter, considers himself to be “fastest being in the universe” is pissed. Burter charges directly at Goku, with Jeice following him. Goku continues to evade their attacks, he switches gears and knocks Burter out. Goku decides to give Jeice two choices, leave the planet or stay and fight. Jeice takes the first offer and “leaves”. Vegeta takes advantage and kill both Burter and Recoome, Vegeta tells Goku ” he is too soft to actually be a Super Saiyan”.
85. Straw Hat Pirates vs Moria and Ora
Moria uses Luffy’s shadow to power the corpse of Ora, a died Giant. Ora comically uses Luffy’s “Gomu Gomu no” technique’s even though he can’t stretch, his incredible height however makes the difference. This is one of the few times in the series that the entire Straw hat crew is needed to defeat an enemy. Ora has a lot of strength, endurance and agility making it difficult to even land hits. The straw hat pirates use a series of improvised combinations and strategies to attack, the succeed in doing some damage. They also use the builds, rocks and other rubble as weapons.
However, when Moria enters Ora’s body he makes the battle more difficult for the straw hats. Ora’s is displeased by his masters control, and asked him to “stop controlling him and allow himself to fight”. The battle shifts in Ora’s and Moria’s favor and just as their about to crush Nami and Usopp, “Nightmare Luffy” appears. Luffy is now capable of landing the effective hits on Ora. Luffy appears to win the battle by using “Gomu Gomu no Storm”. However, Ora’s recovers forcing the entire Straw Hat crew into one final group attack, finally defeating Ora.
84. Kenpachi vs Nnotria
This was a battle of brute force, with both Kenpachi and Nnotria showing the strength. Anyone that’s a fan of Kenpachi knows that this type of fight is his favorite. Nnotria takes pride in his Hierro, claiming “his Hierro is unsurpassed by any former or current Espada and states Kenpachi’s blade will never cut him”. The combatants go back and forth, increasing their strength and challenging the other to surpass the previous increase.
Kenpachi is generally gleefully throughout the fight. Kenpachi’s lack of defense prove to put him in danger a least for a while. Kenpachi finally uses his “Kendo”, he states that “Yamamoto made him learn it”. He explains that ” states a sword is stronger if its wielder holds with two hands instead of one”. Kenpachi finally strikes Nnotria with his sword, and is surprised that he’s still alive. He concludes that Nnotria as being done and proceeds to leave. Nnotria disagrees that this fight is over, but Kenpachi end it with one slash.
83. Alphonse vs Kimblee and Pride
With the aid of a “philosopher stone”, Al takes on both Kimblee and Pride. It’s a quick battle but one that shows Al fearlessness and in skills with alchemy. Al uses a smoke screen to cover his movements, and he an Kimblee engage in close combat. Kimblee uses his explosive alchemy, while Al counters by using the earth as a shield. Al simultaneously battles Pride, who uses his shadows to cut at Al. Al manages to dodge Kimblee’s assault by riding on earth shaped like a dragon. He then attempts to trap Pride in a dome, but fails an is pierced by his shadows. Al, however uses a flash bang to remove all the shadows finally trapping Pride. Kimblee frees him, but Al is saved by Heinkel.
82. Mugen and Jin vs Kariya
Mugen as brash as ever attacks first with his unpredictable fighting style. Kariya’s quick hands puts Mugen on the defensive. He effortlessly counters every move from Mugen, he comments that Mugen needs to use his intellect more. Mugen ignores him and is quickly dispatched into the sea. Next up is Jin, they battle on the pier. Mugen attempt to join the fray but he proves to be a distraction. Kariya appears to defeat Jin on the pier as the latter fall into the sea. Jin survives and challenges Kariya on a cliff. He uses a final attack that leaves himself open for attack, but manages to killing his opponent.
81. Sachiel vs Shinji
Shinji and Eva-01 are launched to the surface to face Sachiel. However, due to Shinji’s inexperience as Eva pilot he has difficulty moving, and falls. Sachiel takes advantage a grabs the Eva by the head, then it breaks it arm. Sachiel shoots an “energy lance” into Eva-01’s head causing Shinji pain. However, Eva-01 goes into “berserker” mode, jumping on Sachiel but is rebuffed. Eva-01 is stopped by Sachiel’s A.T. Field. The Eva regenerated its arm and deploy’s it own A.T. Field. Sachiel used another blast but it does nothing. Eva- 01 grabs both of the Angel’s arms and breaks them. The Eva takes a piece of bone from Sachiel’s and starts to crack its core. Sachiel self destructs, but Eva -01 is unscathed.
