I can’t tell whether this episode is suppose to be the last of the series or season, but I am hoping its the latter. This episode start on a muted note, with a prayer. The parishioners lead by Pastor Nick pray to the three “goddesses” named after the three walls. Pastor Nick states that the only ” protection from the Titans” is an “innocent heart, believing in god,”. Before he can finish the worshipers are unceremoniously killed as Annie lands on them. As Annie heads for a more strategic fighting arena Pastor Nick shouts ” Not the walls!”.

While Eren gives chase after Anne many innocent civilians are killed. Commander Nile Dawk is angered by what consequences Erwin’s plans have caused. However, Erwin is unapologetic and explains when asked “How could you do this?” that his plan was for the purpose of leading “humanity to victory”. Nile’s protest become quickly muted as he threaten to execute Erwin and is reminded that he would become Erwin’s replacement. The battle between Annie and Eren is brutal and their fighting style’s contrast. Overall, Annie is defeated but manages to encase herself in crystal. Many in the military concluded this mission a massive fail. But, Erwin and the 104th trainees squad seemed to gain greater resolve. The episode comes to a close with a titan being revealed inside the wall.

  1. This anime was awesome. I’m going to be writing a huge post about this, buying the rest of the manga and getting the anime when it’s released. Heck, I’m already ordering cups and key-rings from Japan!!!
