Setsuko Sasaki returns. Yuji’s high school friend from the first season, Kenjaku escorts her outside the barrier in Sendai City. He explains his reasons and goals for the Culling Games and leads her outside.
After explaining the new developments regarding the Zenin Clan and Gojo to Hakari and Kirara, Megumi and Yuji decide to enter the Culling Games. They ask Kogane to identify players with 100 points so they can add the rule that allows players to transfer points to each other. Yuji and Megumi will target Hiromi Higuruma and Hakari and Panda will seek Hajime Kashimo.
Yuji vs Hanyu and Haba
When Yuji and Megumi enter the barrier they’re separated and sent to random Colonies. A sorcerer named Hanyu asks a boy named Rin Amai to “signal” if someone enters the colony. Her curse technique, Airplane Hair, which transforms her hair into a jet plane and grants her speed and the ability to fly. It’s not the most impressive ability and has a significant weakness.
She attacks Yuji when he enters the colony, crashing into him at great speed. If Yuji was a normal sorcerer she would have certainly killed him, however, he’s barely harmed. He takes her out by throwing some debris and knocking her out from below. Her boyfriend, Haba, has an equally silly curse technique, Helicopter Hair, which turns his hair into a four bladed propeller. He’s understandably pissed and attacks Yuji.
Where’s Higuruma, someone’s lying
While he puts up a better fight he’s humiliated by Yuji when he’s knocked out after getting kick in the nuts. Without Hanyu and Haba, Yuji needs to work with Rin to find Higuruma. Elsewhere, Megumi has to deal with a suspicious woman, Remi. She’s clearly up to something and Megumi to smart to let his guard down. He walks behind her, asking her questions trying to determine her plan. She keeps her motive a secret, afraid that Megumi will kill her otherwise.
She claims that she’s taking him to see Higuruma. At the same time, Rin is doing the same with Yuji. However, when they reveal his location they both say different places. One of them is lying.
