Episode 15: Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event – Group Battle 1
The team battle begins. Megumi uses his Divine Dogs to track curses. Panda deduces that the cursed spirit boss is probably “halfway between both schools,” but doesn’t think it will sit still. The Tokyo team splits into the Megumi squad and the Panda squad. Suddenly, Aoi Todo arrives. He intends on taking on the entire Tokyo Team. However, Yuji takes initiative, kneeing Todo in the face. The others split up afterward. In a flashback, Maki predicted Aoi would come “charging straight towards them.” Yuji task is to distract Todo, he doesn’t need to win. Todo comes at Yuji. He hits him with a powerful punch. Todo brutally stomps on Yuji’s head, drawing blood. When he goes for the finishing blow, he stops, assuming that Yuji died. As he walks away, Yuji gets up.

What if you made me even dumber?
It pisses Yuji off. Todo asks him his name, then the question, “What kind of woman is your type?” Perplexed, Yuji answers “a tall woman with a big ass.” Todo loves his answer, he fantasizes that he and Yuji are best friends. Todo cries after the memory. Aoi decides Yuji is his best friend. The other Kyoto students suddenly attack Yuji. Mai Zenin shoots at him, Kasumi Miwa uses New Shadow Style, Simple Domain: Quick Draw, but Yuji can dodge them. However, the students can surround him. Yuji realizes that they’re trying to kill him. Aoi claps his hands together, using a cursed technique to swap Yuji with Noritoshi Kamo. Having found his new best friend, Aoi isn’t pleased. He attacks Kamo but misses. The Kyoto leave Yuji in Todo’s hands, hoping he kills him.

He’s just Sukuna’s Vessel
Momo Nishimiya surveilling, the battle is attacked by Nue’s electric wings. Maki and Megumi ambush Kasumi and Noritoshi. Megumi asks Kamo directly if he’s trying to kill Yuji. In a flashback, the Tokyo Team assumes that the Kyoto Team is trying to murder Yuji. Panda explains they consider Yuji to be no different from a cursed spirit. They send Toge to hunt down the cursed spirits, while they stop the Kyoto Team. With Toge free to fight curses, the Tokyo Team has the advantage. Elsewhere, Yuji and Aoi continue to trade blows. Yuji impresses Todo with his toughness, strength, and speed. However, he hates the time lag in Yuji’s technique. He points out Yuji’s “nasty habit,” and that he will never lose to him as long as he does that. Accused of being okay with “staying weak,” Yuji charges his fist. Claiming that he’s not.
When I read this scene in the manga- I was just…….Todo’s freakin’ crazy. How do you come up with that in your mind based off a similar preference in women? That’s an INITIAL interest, but…..to become “Best Friends” like that……it amazed and scared me a little.
He’s crazy. LOL. I guess he’s lonely and needs something to connect to others.
