This is episode is an actioned pack conclusion to the Revolte arc. Genau and Stark face the Divine demon Revolte. At first these two are uncoordinated, crashing into each other. Genau uses his Niello Wing Manipulation spell Digardnacht to shot off feathers like bullets. The spell allows the user to be defensive and offensive as well as fly. Unlike Stark, Genau has a lot of experience. He deduces that Revolte is superior in almost every way and they need to defeat him quickly. He warns Stark to avoid getting hit directly.
However, Stark has no choice but to risk it. He takes a direct hit allowing Genau to sever Revolte’s tail and cut his abdomen. Revolte, feeling desperate uses a young demon to distract Genau. She appears as a child and Genau instinct is to rescue her. While holding her, she stabs him in the torso. She gleefully cheers her actions, happy to help Revolte. Suddenly, Genau cuts her in half with his wing.
Fern strikes from a distance
He reflects on his foolishness. Revolte prides himself on his plan, revealing that he figured it would work due to “humans tendency to protect it’s young”. When Revolte prepares for the final blow, Stark steps in to block the attack. Elsewhere, Fern, Frieren, and Methode fight the “Fog Control Demon”, and the “Whirlwind Attack Demon”. Frieren abandons Fern to fight alone. Fern struggles with the fog that blocks her sight, ability to sense her enemy, and she can’t hide.
Methode seems to be handling the Whirlwind demon better. She’s able to dodge the demons attacks without much effort. The demon reveals that Methode’s fighting style is similar to a clan that are dedicated to hunting demons. Methode uses illusions to distract the demon. While doing this, Methode studies the fog and dispels it using the spell, Erilfrachte. This leads the other demon to become distracted allowing Fern to gain distance and hide.
Stark uses Lighting Strike
Fern instantly strikes the Fog Demon and Whirlwind Demon with Zoltraak from a great distance. Frieren is impressed. The Divine Revolte is begin to lose control and he cannot focus well enough to use mana in his swords. Stark and Genau break each sword but before they deliver the final blow, Revolte pierces both of Genau’s and Stark’s torsos with its arms. Stark delivers a upward swing, Lightning Strike.
Despite the major damage, both Genau and Stark survive due to Methode healing. Methode offers to join Frieren’s party but Frieren rejects it because she’s certain Sein will join them. The Chivalric Order of Norm appears and Methode and Genau leave. Frieren, Stark, and Fern prepare for their next adventure.
