Nacht notices that Plumede is shaking and thinks about how the two devils before him are the highest-ranking devils from the first layer of the underworld. Nacht thought they would be equal to the Dark Triad, but realizes that they are on a completely different level. As the devils attack again, Nacht dodges their attacks but still gets hit. Lilith and Nahamah enjoy the mana and continue to toy with the humans.
Outside of the castle, the roots of the Tree of Qliphoth begin absorbing mana from the world. Albert senses a large, nauseating magic power as a horde of devils breaks through the castle gate. Mereoleona recognizes the magic power as being similar to Zagred’s. However, her thoughts are interrupted when the demon stands back up and forms wings. Mereoleona looks forward to fighting the demon for real.
Devil Power at 100
Back inside the castle, Zenon has drawn on 80% of his devil’s power, but Yuno’s Spirit of Boreas continues to shatter his bones and injure him. Yuno tells Zenon that it’s over, but Zenon disagrees. Meanwhile, Charlotte comments on how Vanica’s magic power continues to grow even though her curse power should have been sealed. Elsewhere, Dante smiles as he realizes that with the first gate open, the barrier limiting their contracts has been lifted. Dante, Zenon, and Vanica then use 100% of their devils’ powers.
The demon prepares to attack the castle, so Kirsch Vermillion and Nebra Silva use their magic to block its sight. Solid Silva diverts the demon’s blast with Sea Serpent’s Bellow, but is frustrated that he can’t do more despite six months of training. The demon overwhelms the Magic Knights, dispersing their spells and knocking them down.
Damnatio shrinks the demon’s next attack, but realizes it’s too powerful to negate completely. Julius blocks the remaining beam, and the two combine their magic to attack the demon. However, Julius reverts to his child form as his time runs out. As Damnatio struggles to hold the demon in place, it prepares another blast, but Asta arrives and drives Black Divider into the charging mana before uniting with Liebe.

The Anti Magic erases the demon’s attack, shocking Damnatio with how much mana Asta can nullify. Back at the Spade Kingdom, Yuno tells Zenon that the Clover Kingdom still has Asta.
Back at the Clover Kingdom, Asta remembers that his transformation will only last five minutes. He slices the demon’s hand and forearm in half before telling Damnatio that he will join forces with a devil to protect the kingdom. Meanwhile, the citizens fear that the devil has come to destroy them, but Rebecca Scarlet explains that Asta is there to protect them.
As Asta fights the demon, Julius realizes that its enormous amount of magic, magic-repelling ability, and primitive attacks make it vulnerable to Anti Magic. Asta cuts off one of its hands before splitting its torso in half. As Asta celebrates, Gimodelo appears and warns him that Nacht Faust is going to die. Asta decides to head to the Spade Kingdom, and Finral opens a portal that drops Asta and the devils on a building where the other Black Bulls are waiting.
Back at the Spade Kingdom, the citizens flee from the devils while the Resistance tries to hold them back. Sally uses her Sticky Salamanders to protect citizens and brings them to Makusa North’s Snow Man Safehouse, where Valtos evacuates them with Spatial Magic. Meanwhile, Sekke panics but boasts that his Bronze Magic will defeat any devil that finds them.
The Magic Knights Learn True Magic
Inside a large tree in Elysia, Dryad introduces herself to the Magic Knights and explains that the gates to the underworld will soon open, threatening the village. Noelle, Mimosa, and Leopold are surprised by her personality. Patolli explains that they will learn Ultimate Magic, which creates a unique spell using all of a person’s magic. Although powerful elves were the only ones capable of using it naturally, humans can achieve it by learning Mana Method and True Magic. Dryad explains that they will draw closer to mana and learn about the origin of souls to acquire Ultimate Magic.
Back at the Spade Kingdom capital, the Spirit Guardians and Magic Knights use True Magic to destroy the low-ranked devils outside the castle. Sally wonders how their magic arrays avoid hitting allies and if she can research them. Noelle challenges Vanica but senses another presence. Two devils appear and easily kill two low-ranked devils, revealing themselves to be far more powerful. Luck and Mimosa identify the newcomers as mid-ranked devils.
The mid-ranked devils enjoy the mana from the outside world and look forward to playing with humans. Although humans can defeat low-ranked devils with enough mana, stronger devils remain a problem. Luck calls the newcomers perfect playmates and decides to test his Ultimate Magic against them. After cutting off a devil’s arm and causing its spell to explode, Luck uses Lightning Battle Fiend to cut the devils to pieces. He tells them that it is no game if they cannot even see him.
