Fire Force Season 3, Episode 4: “Golden Secret”

Fire Force Season 3, Episode 4, “Golden Secret“, centers on Company 8’s battle against the White Clad’s. Without, Arthur and Shinra, they’re in a more difficult battle. The White-Clad Destroyer, Gold is a bad match up for Lieutenant Hinawa and Maki. However, Dr. Licht and Vulcan’s analyst is paramount. Licht can give them all the information they need but Tamaki lacks the fire power to do enough damage. Vulcan created boosters for her but they fail because of Gold’s fire resistance. Licht concludes that her fire abilities are magnetic. He instructs Company 8 to “remove their belts”. This is the moment Fire Force engages in it’s unnecessary fanservice. It just creates a distraction.

Anyway, Lisa Isaribi appears. A former enemy, she’s a Third Generation, that uses her Ignition Ability to create octopus-like tentacles. She’s a powerful fighter in close combat and her flames have magnetic properties. The balance of the fight tips in Company 8th’s favor, as Licht continues to analyses Gold’s abilities. While, Lisa distracts Gold, Tamaki melts several pieces of scrap iron to create molten metal and hinder Gold’s gauntlet’s abilities.

Arthur returns

Without her abilities, Gold is an easy target of Hinawa. He aims and targets her on her forehead and hits the headshot. This is a major departure from Company 8th’s “no kill” policy. However, they can’t afford to let the White-Clad live and return later. The next destroyer, Stream, steps up and prepares to fight Company 8. Stream can control the wind and looks like he gonna be a problem. However, Arthur Boyle finally arrives. He kills Stream without any effort. Fire Force Season 3, Episode 4, shows glimpses of the fight between Shinra and Burns.

I think it was unnecessary to show it. They could have left it until the end of the episode and give the rest of the Company shine. Regardless, I’m looking forward to Shinra, Joker, and Burns fight in full, the bits and pieces is annoying. Anyway, another good episode.
