A new pro-monster group tries to kidnap a civilian who opposes their beliefs, but they run into Garou—and it’s over in seconds. He knocks them out with a flick and casually heads to a restaurant, ordering the entire menu. At the same time, Saitama’s there too but realizes he lost his wallet and can’t pay. Fubuki shows up, starts talking about the Hero Hunter, and once again tries to recruit Saitama. Seeing a chance, Saitama tricks her into eating some fries just as Garou dashes out. The crowd shouts “dine and dasher!” and Saitama goes after him, sticking Fubuki with the bill.
Later, Garou scares off a few kids bullying Tareo, who thanks him for acting like a hero—something that clearly ticks Garou off. Saitama eventually catches up and lets Garou go with a warning, which only makes him angrier. He swears he’ll take Saitama down, but one accidental punch from Saitama knocks him out cold. When Garou comes to, he asks Tareo who that hero was. Before he can get an answer, Bug God and Royal Ripper appear, suspicious of his actions. When Royal Ripper threatens Tareo, Garou steps in and tells him to back off.
Bud God and Royal Ripper appear
Garou stands protectively in front of Tareo as Bug God and Royal Ripper appear. Royal Ripper explains that Gyoro Gyoro sent them to observe Garou, but after watching him fight, they start to question if he’s truly a monster. Garou mocks them, and Ripper demands he prove himself by killing Tareo. When Garou hesitates, Bug God tells him that to become a monster, he has to give up his humanity. Royal Ripper adds that after losing to Saitama, Garou might not be worthy of the title at all.
Garou tells Tareo to go home, but the boy freezes. Frustrated, Garou snatches the hero catalog from him and says he needs to get stronger. Before Tareo can move, Royal Ripper attacks, but Garou steps in, grabbing Ripper by his blades and kicking him away. Ripper crashes but quickly recovers, stabbing his blades into the ground to stop himself. His arms are damaged, but he regenerates them instantly. Garou shouts for Tareo to run, and the boy finally escapes. Royal Ripper calls Garou a traitor, and Garou readies himself for the fight.
Garou, the next Orochi?
Meanwhile, at the Monster Association headquarters, Gyoro Gyoro relaxes on a bean bag when Phoenix Man walks in. Phoenix questions why Gyoro Gyoro sent two reckless monsters to watch Garou—what if they end up killing him? Gyoro Gyoro insists that Garou needs to be pushed to his limits if he’s going to evolve. When Phoenix asks what Gyoro Gyoro plans to do with him, Gyoro Gyoro dodges the question, instead revealing that Lord Orochi was once human before his transformation. Shocked, Phoenix listens as Gyoro Gyoro explains that Garou could become the next Orochi. He assures that Bug God will stop Royal Ripper from killing Garou, though he casually admits he can always find another “specimen” if Garou doesn’t survive.
