Igaram, Pell, and Chaka started getting worried when Cobra didn’t come back from his meeting, and Vivi had disappeared too. Meanwhile, Vivi, safe with Wapol, slipped past the Marines and made her way to the port. They hid in a cargo crate, stowing away on the Eigis Kingdom’s ship. Using Wapol’s Den Den Mushi, they reached out to Morgans, who agreed to shelter them in exchange for the story. Because of this, news about Cobra’s death and Vivi’s disappearance spread worldwide.
At the same time, Bonney escaped on the Tajine Kingdom’s ship, and Sabo also snuck out of Mary Geoise, dodging the God’s Knights who were hunting for him. After knocking out one of the knights and taking his armor, he disguised himself and boarded the Lulusia Kingdom’s ship as a stowaway, hiding below deck.
Sabo the reluctant hero
Since Sabo was framed for Cobra’s murder, several kingdoms, including Lulusia, found themselves swept up in revolution. By the time Sabo reached Lulusia, the people had already overthrown the monarchy and locked up King Seki and Princess Komane. When Sabo finally revealed himself, the citizens hailed him as a hero. Even though he wanted to clear his name, he chose to stay silent so the revolutions could continue.
Sabo took a group of citizens who wanted to join the Revolutionary Army with him to the Kamabakka Queendom. He tried to contact the other members of the army, but the World Government intercepted his signal. That’s when Imu decided to use the Mother Flame—one of Vegapunk’s weapons—on Lulusia, wiping it out completely. Only the people who left with Sabo survived.
Who is Nerona Imu?
After finishing his story, Sabo tells Ivankov and Dragon about Imu’s existence. Ivankov throws out the idea that Imu could be Nerona Imu, one of the First Twenty, somehow still alive after all these years. Sabo, recalling the black cloud that appeared over Lulusia, doubts it was a natural disaster. He suspects it was one of Vegapunk’s inventions, maybe even an Ancient Weapon, though he’s puzzled why the World Government hadn’t used it before.
Meanwhile, over in Mary Geoise, Mjosgard is executed by Saint Figarland Garling, leader of the God’s Knights, for defying another World Noble.
