Sabo fought his way through Pangaea Castle and grabbed the keys to the slaves’ collars, running into Bonney, who was also there to save Kuma. He handed the keys off to Karasu in his crow form so he could get them to the slaves. After that, Sabo helped Bonney make her escape. While they were hiding from the guards, they overheard one mention a Lost Chamber, which caught Sabo’s attention. Once they got out of the castle, they split up, with Bonney heading off to Egghead to confront Vegapunk.
In the courtyard, Kuma had Shirahoshi wrapped in chains under Charlos’ orders. Charlos wanted to keep her as his slave, and the other royals fled, too afraid to stand up to a World Noble and risk getting executed. Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi, and Manboshi tried to help her but were stopped in their tracks when Kuma attacked them with a beam of light.
Imu prepares to answer Cobra
Out of nowhere, Donquixote Mjosgard showed up and gave Sai and Leo the go-ahead to take Charlos down. They hit him with a joint attack that knocked him out cold, flattening him so hard some thought he was dead. Kuma moved to strike back, but Morley burst from the ground and grabbed him before he could act. With Karasu holding the keys and the mission complete, Morley made a quick escape with Kuma in tow.
Meanwhile, Cobra met with the Five Elders in front of the Empty Throne. He asked them about Nefertari D. Lili, one of the First Twenty monarchs from the Void Century and the only one who didn’t become a World Noble. Lili had rejected the position and was supposed to return to Arabasta, but she disappeared before making it back. Cobra wanted to know why, and why there were no records about her in Arabasta after the Void Century. The Elders claimed they didn’t know, but Cobra pushed further, asking about the meaning of Lili’s middle initial, D. Overhearing the conversation, Imu suddenly appears, and to Cobra’s and the Elders’ shock, sits on the Empty Throne, ready to answer Cobra’s questions.
