My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 13 Review: “A Chain of Events, Across the Ages”

Deku used the American Fleet to help escort him to the Flying Fortress, using his Blackwhip to sling himself between them. Bravo Leader tells him that they remained in Japan to help because “their gal,” bet her life on Deku. As we saw at the end of the last episode, Deku smashes into Tomura. The villain quickly notices that Deku is using the “Third’s” quirk. Deku apologizes for being late and when he sees Dynamight unconscious he’s shocked. Tomura mocks Deku for his lateness, leaving his friends to be harmed.

Enraged, Deku starts to lose control over his Quirks. Lemillion appears and tries to talk Deku down. He tells him that “everyone is still breathing,” revealing that Edgeshot is saving Bakugo’s life. Deku calms down after recalling All Might’s and the Fifth’s words. After calming down, Deku refocuses his attention and prepares to face All For One. Tomura jumps into the air, he tries to hit a smash but Deku stops it. He then uses a combination of Blackwhip and Fa Jin to create a new technique called, Blackchain.

Tomura cannot break the chain. He uses the Second User Quirk to power his Ultimate Move: Transmission. Deku punches Tomura, with Second Gear, Third Gear, and Final Top Gear sending him flying up. Deku then appears behind Tomura and strikes him with Detroit Smash: Quintuple, causing Tomura to crash into the ground. Deku’s ability to merge the various Quirks in his arsenal is a stark contrast to All For One more forced combinations.

Deku combines a number of his other Quirks, Danger Sense, Smokescreen, Float, Blackwhip, then Fa Jin to unleash the full might of the new One For All. Tomura’s body starts to fall apart. Of course, Tomura’s numerous Quirks are still being stopped by Eraser Head’s Erasure Quirk. Tomura screams out as the nine vestige appear. He declares that “he is not yet finished.”
