My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 23

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 23 opens with Deku asking why his friends are here and Ochaco Uraraka (Uravity) responds “because we were worried about you.” Deku claims he’s find and tries to send them away. Katsuki Bakugo sarcastically congratulates him and asks if Deku “can still smile?” Deku begs his friends to understand that he left for their sake and he tries to leave using One For All. Class 1-A isn’t here to talk, if they must they’re willing to use their Quirks to force Deku to return to school. Lead by Bakugo they engage.

Class 1-A reunites with Deku

Deku activates the sixth users smokescreen ability but Bakugo blows it away. Koji Koda, uses his Anivoice Quirk to command pigeons to stall Deku, telling him that Principal Nezu wants him to return. Deku tries to use Blackwhip but is stopped when Cellophane grabs it with his tape. As his friends attempt to stop him they remind him of various times when they worked together. It’s a excellent way to reintroduce us to Class 1-A and to show off their Quirks, while reminding us and Deku that he’s not alone.

There isn’t much more to this episode. The rest of the class get to show off some new moves and Deku eventually acknowledges his friends willingness to help. He collapses and Bakugo catches him. With most of the civilians evacuating to shelters catching anti-hero vigilantes are easier. They return to U.V. and we get to see what Thirteen looks like. With Deku and his classmates back together the heroes may have a chance to win.

  1. You know? This arc…….. the post war stuff in the series……. I felt…….. I didn’t like it as much. And it’s only through seeing it all again that I……. I guess I appreciate it more than back when I first read it. I still have my problems with it, and I still want to don’t think that highly of it all, but…….. I’m coming around to it more.
