Far from the Maddening Crowd
Mako makes one of her speeches after Ryuko claims to no longer be human. Mako say’s that “this isn’t the Ryuko I know” and she responds that she ins’t the same Ryuko. She feels that the “old” her was a fraud and she just a monster. Mako appears sad at this revelation.
Nui Harime appears and taunts Ryuko about her fathers death. Ryuko mother Ragyo arrives as well and Ryuko begin attacking her. Both Nui and Ragyo appear to be paper clones and succeed in convincing Ryuko to meet them at Honnouji Academy. Ryuko still angry aims to fight alone, and lashes out at her friends.
The Four Devas form a plan to rescue Satsuki, she send them a message revealing that she has a plan. Aikuro decides to place all the force of Nudist Beach in pursue of getting Satsuki back, he reveals The Naked Sol as his trump card. The Naked Sol is a massive ship (that resembles the mechs from Gurren Lagann), and they set sail for the academy.
Ryuko arrives at the academy an quickly frees the captured citizen from the COVER’s. Nui shows up and Ryuko attacks, they clash in a fury of sword swipes. Nudist Beach begins their assault on the academy so after, but they seems to have little impact. Satsuki hearing the ruckus frees herself with her sharpen toenails, made out of Bakuzan.
Nui claims she the “only one that can understand her”, she reveals that she too was born with Life Fibers. Ragyo appears with Junketsu and it seems that Nui had a plan to force Ryuko to wear it. The Four Devas arrive to save Satsuki, while on the Naked Sol Ryuko arrives dressed in Junketsu. Ryuko is unmatched, but Satsuki appears wearing Senketsu.
Opinion:
This episode was a very good one, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m not surprise that Nui isn’t “human”, she certainly doesn’t act like it. I wish there was more depth to the fights, however I’d imagine that the next episode will fulfill that need.
Ryuko’s attitude is understandable but I’m starting to find it annoying. That said I find it interesting that Satsuki and Ryuko have seemingly switch places. Overall, this episode left me excited for what’s going to happen next.
