Reggie intends to use the Culling Games for his own purposes. Meanwhile, he is focusing on gathering allies and storing points and wants Megumi to join him. Megumi is only interested in gaining points. Reggie decides that negotiation have “broken down”. Suddenly, another player, Chizuru Hari, arrives and attacks Megumi from behind. Megumi disappears into the shadows and grabs Hari, throwing him off the building. Megumi uses Nue and Divine Dog: Totality to attack. Reggie stabs the Divine Dog with kitchen knives. Suddenly, a detached eye falls over the building and explodes.
The eye belonged to the player, Lori Hazenoki. Megumi manages to escape the explosion but not without some burn damage to his face. Kogane appears and reveals that Yuji has succeeded in creating the rule Megumi wanted. This frees Megumi to go all out. When Hari returns, he and Megumi face off with the later getting the best of Hari. Using his shikigami, Megumi dominates this fight. He brutally kills Hari, showing that he’s different from Yuji. Reggie and Hazenoki glide down using umbrellas. Megumi is concerned that he can’t fight these two alone. When Hazenoki spits an explosive tooth at Megumi he’s saved by a player, Fumihiko Takaba.
Zero Damage, Takaba arrives
Takaba’s arrival gives the episode some welcomed humor. Takaba is strange and his abilities are stranger. He baffles Megumi, Reggie, and Hazenoki. He’s wearing an outfit that leaves little to the imagination and jokes that aren’t funny. Regardless, he’s strong. He delivers a dropkick that sends Hazenoki flying into a building. Reggie notes that “the shift in Takaba’s cursed energy output is great”. As Takaba pairs off against Hazenoki, Megumi and Reggie finally fight.
Reggie begins running through the street, avoiding Nue’s and the Max Elephants attacks with his innate cursed technique, Contractual Re-Creation. Reggie’s technique is impressive and has a number of possibilities. While Reggie manages to restore his body by using a receipt for a five-star Japanese inn, Megumi is suffering from using so many shikigami. Megumi escapes to a gymnasium. Reggie summons two trucks but Megumi avoids them. Reggie tries to overwhelm him with a series of receipts. He manages to stabs Megumi forcing him into a corner. Desperate, Megumi uses his Domain Expansion, Chimera Shadow Garden.
