The Straw Hats reflect on Luffy’s dream of becoming the King of the Pirates with excitement. The conversation shifts to locating the final Road Poneglyph. Robin warns them that no one has found it in their time and they have no clues. Meanwhile, the Marines intercept Sabo’s call to the Revolutionary Army. The Five Elders learn the his location is the Kingdom of Lulusia. Sabo reveals that he didn’t assassinate King Cobra. He tries to inform them of what he witness in the Empty Throne inside Pangaea Castle.

The Five Elder’s have the communication cut off and tell the Marines to “forget that they ever traced or heard Sabo’s call.” Imu crosses Lulusia off the map. The sky over Lulusia begins to darken and turn a strange green color. Suddenly, red beams of light bombarded the island, destroying the island and killing everyone. Sabo’s call get’s cut off, suggesting that he was harmed.

The Strawhat’s reach a new destination

The Straw Hat’s enter the “climate range,” of a nearby island. They encounter a Warm Eddy, “a massive version of a real-world current, created when a mass of warm sea water gets heated, causing the currents to loop around and making the ocean surface slightly yet perceptibly rise.” Luffy notice’s someone is inside and Zoro cuts the Eddy in half. Chopper steps outside, only to be flung into the air by the wind. Luffy tries to grab him and unintentionally joins him in the sky.

As they flail about they encounter the girl who’s Jewelry Bonney (though the episode doesn’t reveal it yet). She warns the Straw Hat’s of a danger underneath the sea. Usopp is the first to sense the giant shark that’s preparing to eat everyone and the ship. One Piece is in it’s final saga and I’m excited for this final arc. We finally get to see the government for what it is. So far their willingness to kill innocents for political gain is a sign that they’re immoral, preferring to maintain the status quo over the lives of the citizens they rule over.

I would like to say that I particularly loved the new OP.

What did you think of the episode? Excited to see the last arc?
