Sakamoto Days, Season 2, Episode 4: “Round and Round the Tower”

Apart wants to give Sakamoto his sob story. Sakamoto says he doesn’t have time, but Apart gives it anyway. He failed to “connect,” with anyone growing up. Neglected, ignored, and, alone, Apart was only treated kindly by his father. However, his dad worked too much so he was left alone. So he began mutilating his teddy bears, and then his pet cat. His father understandably alarmed, takes him to the doctor. He’s told that theirs nothing wrong with Apart’s brain. His father was enraged. How could he kill a cat and have nothing wrong with him?

When he tries to calm his father down, his father pushes him away. Triggered, Apart brutality murders his father. Apart concluded that killing was the only way to connect with others, Sakamoto shatters this mindset, by telling him that “killing people only severs connections.” Suddenly, the tower begin to topple. Sakamoto tries to stop it but with Apart fighting him at the same time it’s too difficult. However, Takamura uses his sword to cut the tower, balancing it.

Sakamoto notices the bloodlust but doesn’t have time to explore. He takes the opportunity to defeat Apart knocking the serial killer out. He brings Apart to his home, as they want his help. He’s surprised at their treatment and informs them that “X” plans on using the serial killers as “distractions,” so they can attack the Order’s base. Sakamoto decides to head to the JAA.
