Garou and Tareo make their escape, but they’re immediately confronted by two monsters. Garou takes them out without any trouble and even eats part of one to regain his strength before moving on. As they continue, Tareo mentions another kid who needs saving, but Garou makes it clear he didn’t come here to rescue anyone. Before they can get any farther, Overgrown Rover appears and blocks their path.
Garou ends up crossing paths with Super Mouse, Showerhead, and Unihorn, though Overgrown Rover wipes them out almost instantly. Garou tries to fight Rover next but is completely overpowered. The battle is cut short when Gyoro Gyoro intervenes, trapping Garou and requesting a conversation with the Hero Hunter.
Saitama heads out
Elsewhere, Saitama casually finishes brushing his teeth, suits up, and steps out into the damaged city. Meanwhile underground, Garou remains restrained by Gyoro Gyoro’s psychic powers. Gyoro Gyoro explains that Garou’s transformation into a monster is still incomplete. He acknowledges Garou’s potential but points out his flaws, revealing that true monsterfication requires a special process—not psychic powers. To evolve faster, a human has to face death repeatedly until both body and spirit are pushed past their limits.
It’s a dangerous method; the subject can die at any moment, and even those who survive risk hitting a wall if they lack intelligence. Gyoro Gyoro says the key is forcing the human through their own personal hell. When Garou suggests Gyoro Gyoro must have tried this many times, Gyoro Gyoro confirms it—he’s experimented on both humans and monsters. Turning humans into monsters is easy, he says, but it only enhances what they already have, with no real chance for growth.
Garou overpowers Gyoro Gyoro
Gyoro Gyoro reveals that Garou has already surpassed even Orochi, breaking through another limit after his fight with Royal Ripper and Bug God. He tries to recruit Garou, promising that under his guidance Garou can wipe out the heroes and become the strongest monster. Garou refuses, but Gyoro Gyoro insists he doesn’t have a choice, reminding him that he’s still tied up and that his psychic power is stronger than Tatsumaki and Fubuki combined.
Despite that, Garou starts to adjust himself and manages to take a step forward. Gyoro Gyoro attacks with flying rocks, but the assault exposes a major weakness—he can only do one thing at a time. Garou uses that opening to break free.
Garou mocks him, saying that taking down the mastermind will make the whole Monster Association fall on its own. Orochi then appears, grabs Garou, and drags him down to eye level. With Gyoro Gyoro pushing for a fight, Orochi fires his horns straight through Garou, leaving a hole in his abdomen. Gyoro Gyoro notes how impressive Orochi’s horn manipulation has become.
Garou is defeat by Orochi
Garou counters with Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, taking out several monsters and jumping in to face Orochi directly. But Orochi nearly bites him with the mouths hidden in his jaw. Then Orochi transforms into a massive serpent-like creature, something between a hydra and a T-rex. Its heads unleash super-heated flames, burning everything around them. A giant fist made from snake limbs slams Garou into a wall. Gyoro Gyoro calls for him to surrender, but Garou refuses, bragging about his genius and saying Orochi still lacks the primal terror of a real monster.
Garou takes his stance again, but Orochi copies it perfectly. Gyoro Gyoro explains that Orochi is a “genius” too, picking up Garou’s style in real time. The fight continues with Orochi’s dragon limbs using Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist as well. Garou ends up overwhelmed and defeated. Gyoro Gyoro comments that Garou still doesn’t have the bloodlust of a true monster, so he plans to completely brainwash him into another ace of the Monster Association.
Meanwhile, above ground, Saitama peers into a manhole, wondering about the strange noises that suddenly went quiet.
