In One Piece episode 1106, Sentomaru recovers while sending Pacifista MK-3 after World Government agents, Bonney explores her fathers memories, and Dr. Vegapunk goes missing.
The Pacifista
Government agents try to destroy Dr. Vegapunk’s means of escape but are quickly overwhelmed by the Pacifista’s. These upgraded models are superior than the ones we were original introduced to. The agents accept defeat and surrender to the Pacifista. They’re locked away f or the time being. Sentomaru recovers while being taken care of by the civilians of Egghead Island. He decides to fight the Marines and sends the remaining 49 Pacifistas out to fight. They main goal is to allow Dr. Vegapunk to escape on the Thousand Sunny.
Dad’s memories
Bonney touches the bubble containing the memories of her father. She’s transported to a field. She sees her father crying as a child. He tearfully states that he “can’t take it anymore.” Meanwhile, Luffy is exhausted after looking for the missing Vegapunk. The Strawhat’s reunite, as Shaka warns them that they have two big problems. First, Vegapunk has gone missing and second they have “lost control of the Frontier Dome.” This means that they cannot leave the lab. Everyone goes to look for Vegapunk.
News is entertainment
Elsewhere, Morgans learns that the World Government is trying to assassinate Dr. Vegapunk. However, he’s not sure the Government is going to win with Luffy being present. How his headline, “Emperor of the Sea Straw Hat Luffy holds Vegapunk hostage on Egghead Island . . . make’s Luffy look bad. Morgans figures he’ll gain favor with the Government by printing a misleading story about Luffy, while providing cover for their crimes. Nefeltari Vivi, Princess of Kingdom of Alabasta, is appalled by Morgans fabricated story. Morgan doesn’t care. He believes that “newspapers are entertainment.”
I’m unsatisfied by this episode. I think they should have focuses on two of the four main stories and we would have had a stronger episode. Hopefully, they will focus on the stories’ more directly in future episode. I’m most interested in Kuma’s memories and why he choose to become a android. Morgans has always come across as shady but I didn’t think he would side with the government like that. Overall, this episode was missing a lot to interest me, but it’s One Piece, the future episodes will be more entertaining.
