The shadowy figure from the previous episode ambushes Gris and Rudo. He destroys the exit so they cannot escape. He claims that here for Rudo and he has someone that wants to have a “chat,” with him. Rudo as him sternly about Zanka. The Raider tells Rudo that he didn’t kill Zanka but he “put him to sleep,” with a poison that “might have been too strong.” Gris step up to protect Zanka, however, the Raider pierces the chest of Gris, dismissing him “just a gruntling,” and “worthless.”

Rudo flashes back to his childhood, where he dismisses himself as being “worthless.” Triggered by the Raiders words and insult to Gris value causes Rudo to erupt with anger. According, to Gris, Rudo has the power to “find the worth in whatever you touch, and draw it out to it’s maximum extent.” Prepared to fight, the raider introduces himself as Jabber Wonger. As Gris bleeds out, he doesn’t seem to be concerned, as he is certain of Rudo’s victory. Jabber keeps attacking Rudo but is disappointed that he can’t seem to land a hit.

The power of Gris’s Lucky Charm

Because Gris “lucky charm,” was used to pray for “everybody to come back home in one piece.” This means that in order for someone to return home they must remain “unhurt.” Jabber notes that even though he can’t hit Rudo, Rudo isn’t landing any hits either. Rudo responds that Jabber is the one that’s “moving,” not Rudo. He can predict where Jabber’s “moves going to take him.” The “lucky Charm” cannot hit anyone but Rudo’s fists can.

Jabber accuses Rudo of being “sloppy and lazy,” he attacks head on but Rudo hit him in the stomach. Using the environment, Jabber cuts the rubble and hurls it at Rudo. It still doesn’t work as Rudo is able to land several hits. Jabber seems pleased that he’s being beaten badly. He notes that Rudo’s instrument can “detect hostility and redirect it’s attacks.” However, the rubble has no intent so Rudo’s instrument doesn’t react to it.

Jabber’s instrument “Mankira,” possess a powerful neurotoxin. Suddenly, Jabber injects himself with it. He plans on “knocking himself out,” and attacking “unconsciously.”
