Late at night Jiji accidentally triggers the Evil Eye by washing with cold water, sending him on a rampage that tears up the Ayase house. Momo manages to stop him with hot water, but Aira immediately scolds him for being careless. While patching Okarun, Momo tells Seiko they’ll need to keep Jiji on guard, making Seiko worry the house won’t last till morning.
Not long after, a strange group approaches. Seiko mistakes them for intruders and drives them off, only for them to return and reveal they’re the hayashi, musicians she hired to perform an exorcism. Their music begins to work, but Jiji suddenly begs them to stop. When Momo restrains him, she sees the Evil Eye’s tragic past. Jiji pleads for the ritual to end, saying he pities the Evil Eye and promises to be careful. Seiko cancels the exorcism and declares the Evil Eye part of the family. Aira protests, but Okarun offers to take responsibility. Momo backs him, and Aira reluctantly joins in.
Jiji’s training
Just as things calm down, rain falls and the Evil Eye awakens again, blasting Okarun straight into the house. The hayashi leave, telling Seiko and Momo to call them if needed. With the house damaged, Seiko sends Momo to grab cardboard for temporary walls. The episode closes with Seiko beginning Jiji’s training, telling him he can control the Evil Eye if he learns to master his ki.
Okarun wakes to find Jiji missing and waits outside the bathroom in case the Evil Eye returns. After calming Momo, he guides Jiji back to his room, carefully avoiding the damp cardboard from the night dew. Jiji apologizes, but Okarun recalls how Seiko and Momo once helped him through his own ordeal and admits he wants to follow Seiko’s example of paying it forward.
The next morning, after breakfast, Momo shares her plan to get a part-time job to repair her house. Muko suggests Ririna’s restaurant, which is looking for help. Later, Miko and Muko drag Okarun to a maid café—where he’s stunned to see Momo working in a maid outfit. The two lock eyes, both embarrassed, in a moment of awkward surprise.
