Before Saul confronted Sommers, he told Robin and Chopper to “stay hidden” because he had encountered Sommers in the past and knows he is part of the Knights of God, who are all immortal. This is why he wanted them to wait for the right moment to rescue the children.

Back in the present, Sommers chides the Marines for their sloppiness in destroying Ohara after Saul collapses. Gunko then meets up with Sommers along with the Straw Hats she has captured using her powers. Sommers asks if they are taking them back as prisoners, but Killingham overhears and tells him that doing so will only invoke Luffy’s wrath. He says they should just finish their mission and leave.

Brook recognizes Gunko

Meanwhile, Nami blames Jinbe for letting this happen as he tries to figure out a way to beat the Knights. Brook wonders where he has seen Gunko before. Gunko points a sword made of her arrows at him and demands that he become her slave and write music for her forever. Everyone is surprised to learn that Gunko is a fan of Brook’s, but he refuses because he has already sworn loyalty to Luffy. Gunko threatens to kill him if he does not take it back, but Brook proudly says he will accept death instead. This causes Gunko to beat him up, though she seems to clutch her heart for some reason. Sommers tells Gunko that he does not want to fight Luffy either before asking Killingham if everything is ready, which he confirms.

Sommers then addresses all of Elbaph and reveals that the strange occurrences happening around the island are their work. He announces that “he comes from Mary Geoise” and “is a member of the Knights of God.” He also reveals that “they have taken ten children hostage” and that Saul was “badly injured” trying to stop them.

Meanwhile, Killingham asks Ange for the names of the children so their parents will know who has been taken. He then wakes the children up from their sleep. Once they wake up, they realize they are on Branch 8, but they are unable to stop walking or ignore the arrows guiding them. Colon, who was added to the group, informs everyone that they have been kidnapped. The children start crying and calling for their parents, but Colon tells them that he is here and will protect everyone. However, even he is scared by the MMAs (Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin) created by Killingham that are watching over them.

Sommers begins to kidnap the children

The Great Eirik tries to turn around and rescue the children, but the ship has a hole from one of the MMAs, which resembles a woman and even looks like one of the Giants’ wives. The Giants eventually realize that some of the MMAs resemble their wives, and if these creatures are a child’s worst nightmare, then it is possible that they are afraid of their mothers when they get angry. In other words, the MMAs attacking the ship are angry mothers, which not even the Giant Warrior Pirates can fight back against. They all start apologizing for their past mistakes, but the island clouds supporting the ship are torn away, causing the ship to crash. Sommers sees the crash in the distance.

Sommers addresses Jarul as the Giants’ leader since they have no king. He informs him that they want the Giants to become their slaves in battle and that they are currently taking the children down Branch 8. Meanwhile, Ange announces the names of the kidnapped children, including Ylva and Olav, who is Oimo’s grandson. Sommers then reveals that one child, Colon, tried to be a hero but ended up being captured with the others, much to Ripley’s horror.

Sommers demands that the Giants destroy their schools and libraries and swear loyalty to them. However, Ange argues that their school represents Elbaph’s current state of peace, while the library contains Elbaph’s ancient history as well as the knowledge of the world saved by the people of Ohara. To them, both are sacred treasures that do not just belong to Elbaph. Sommers simply tells her to calm down.

Meanwhile, Gaban prepares to head out and rescue his son, while Robin decides to show herself, unwilling to let the Knights destroy her people’s efforts.
