In the aftermath of Silco’s death, Zaun spirals into chaos as the three remaining Chem-Barons—Smeech, Margot, and Chross—battle for dominance. Jinx, reeling from Silco’s loss, becomes a wanted fugitive. She couldn’t care less about the growing anarchy and drifts through Zaun incognito. During her aimless wandering, she crosses paths with Isha, a young orphan girl fleeing from Chross’s men. Without hesitation, Jinx takes them all out and moves on as if nothing happened. Isha, shaken but grateful, decides to cautiously follow her.
Meanwhile, Smeech tries to seize one of Margot’s territories, but his raid is derailed when they encounter the Grey—a thick, suffocating factory smog clinging to Zaun’s underbelly. Smeech’s accountant, Heenot, is sent inside to investigate and runs into something—or someone—unnervingly unfamiliar. Later, Sevika calls a meeting with the Chem-Barons, urging them to set aside their turf wars and unite against Piltover.
The Chem Barons want Jinx
Margot and Chross hesitate, too focused on their rivalries and recent losses. Smeech, however, sides with Sevika, acknowledging Piltover’s threat but proposing a drastic move: handing Jinx over to the Enforcers. Sevika balks at the idea of betraying one of their own, but Smeech, sensing her desperation, ups the stakes. He offers her a cutting-edge prosthetic arm in exchange for her support in taking Jinx down. Cornered, Sevika retreats to Silco’s old office, grappling with her broken prosthetic and the growing chaos Silco’s death left behind.
Jinx eventually appears, and Sevika can’t bring herself to act. Instead, the two share a tense moment, reminiscing about Silco and reflecting on how they’ll survive a Zaun that’s crumbling without him.
Victor Awakens
Viktor wakes from his coma, tearing himself free from the thick webbing of the Hexcore. His body has nearly completed its transformation—his skin now gleams like metal. Across the room, Jayce stirs, first in shock, then in awe, as he realizes the Hexcore has revived Viktor. But Viktor’s joy is short-lived. He confronts Jayce, accusing him of breaking his promise to destroy the Hexcore if it proved to be dangerous. Jayce fumbles to justify his choice, but Viktor silences him with a devastating revelation: the Hexcore claimed Sky’s life. With no more words left to say, Viktor bids farewell to Jayce and steps away from his role in Piltover.
Meanwhile, the Firelights struggle to cope with a flood of refugees fleeing the chaos in the undercity. Scar fears they’ll have no choice but to turn people away, but Ekko refuses, insisting they help everyone they can. As tensions rise, leaves from the hideout’s great tree begin to fall, each one marked with strange patterns of corruption. Ekko brings the problem to Heimerdinger, who confirms that the tree is in grave danger—and that he’s seen this kind of decay before. Determined to find answers, Heimerdinger and Ekko sneak into the Academy’s lab. They share their findings with Jayce, who studies the cryptic patterns while Heimerdinger stumbles across the remnants of the Hexcore cocoon. His expression darkens as he urgently asks the one question on everyone’s mind: where is Viktor?
Jinx escapes
Jinx tinkers with a new invention using the scraps she’s salvaged from the broken-down arcade of her childhood. The air suddenly fills with the suffocating Grey, forcing her into hiding as she fights to steady her breathing. Through the thick fog, Caitlyn’s strike team emerges, methodically sweeping the area for any trace of her. Vi strays from the group, stumbling upon Jinx’s welding goggles. She doesn’t realize her sister is watching from above, finger trembling on the trigger. Jinx hesitates, her aim faltering as a tear falls onto the goggles. The sound draws Vi’s attention, and Jinx pulls back, vanishing into the shadows. Desperate to slip away, she triggers the old target practice music, luring Caitlyn’s team away to investigate. When Maddie signals the all-clear, Caitlyn, frustrated and furious, unloads her rifle into one of the panels.
Jinx makes her escape, spiraling into a breakdown at the sight of her sister as an enforcer. Before she can fully process it, Smeech’s henchmen ambush her, holding her down as Smeech taunts her with the truth: he tipped off Caitlyn’s team, cutting a deal to hand Jinx over. But when Jinx admits, almost defiantly, to killing Silco, Smeech freezes just long enough for Sevika to storm in and gun down his men. Jinx seizes the moment, breaking free and tossing her latest invention—a weaponized prosthetic arm—to Sevika. With its chaotic, brutal features, Sevika takes out Smeech, while Jinx and Isha finish off the remaining thugs.
In the aftermath, Jinx and Sevika regroup, already plotting their next move against Vi. As they scan the battlefield, they spot Heenot, barely alive, struggling under the weight of a fallen gang member. Jinx’s expression hardens—loose ends still need tying up.
