Each other’s Burden & the fourth test

I was right. Rachel did ask Khun not to tell Bam who she actually is. She believes that if they were together they would become “each others burden.” However, considering Bam’s condition I wasn’t sure he would remeber her anyway. Elsewhere, Anaak now has the Black March, she hopes to collect all 13 weapons. However, the Black March still won’t work for females and ugly men, as Ship Leeso learns. As Bam awakens Khun informs him that the fourth test is underway. This test, position selection, each member of the team will be assigned a role. There are five roles, first, the fisherman, close quarter fighters, spearbearer, distance fighters, Light bearer, the illuminate the dark tower with their lighthouse, and gathering of information.

The final two are, the scout, they assist the fisherman with information on the enemy movements and the wave controller that control the battle with Shinsui. Bam is given this title. Khun delivers the lie for Rachel, claiming Bam mistook her fpr somepne else. In order to protect Bam, Khun is willing to lie “as much as needed.”

How to use Shinsui

In order to use shinsui, a contract must be established between the user and the floor adminstrator. After summoning their pockets, closing their eyes, and speaking the command: “Form contract with administrator.” When Bam uters the phrase, an ominiouns voice responds that Bam “smells rather appealing.” A large grey creature with two big blue eyes agrees to a contract with Bam, but states that it’s more like a “shackle.” Meanwhile, the other particapants, including Khun and Rak begin classes. Rak leaves to train some more. Suddenly, Ship Lesso and Hatsu arrive hoping to make more firends. Khun is reluctant, but Bam is eager for more friends.

The Princesses of Jahad

In episode 6 of Tower of God we finally get an explaination regarding what a Princess of Jahad is, mostly. First, they’re not biologically related, although they call each other “sister.” They’re recruited to represent capable tribes and families. Endrosi, a Princess of Jahad, comparies the princesses to “brand names.” Anaak and Endorsi battle during the next class. While in class, Khun uses a computer to learn information about the other particapants. He finds little on Bam and Rachel, but learns that Anaak is “dead.” However, it turns out that it’s Anaak’s mother that is deceased. She was killed by her “sisters.” Anaak isn’t interested in climbing the tower, she wants revenge, starting with Endrosi. I think that Rachel and Bam parting their ways (at least for now) is a good thing. Bam seems to be growing with out her.

Rachel may not be as manipulative as I thought. She appear to be the one that relied on Bam. She may feel that she is freeing him from her, not the other way around. The next test appears to suggest that the next teams will have five members. With Anaak abandoning her team with Ship Leeso and Hatsu, I think it’s being telegraphed that Bam, Rak, and Khun will team up with Ship and Hatsu. Anaak might have a death wish or will end up being disquaified. If she’s not playing the game, she will lose. The story and lore of the series continues to get more intersting.
