Annie having a tradition anime (I’m evil) laugh

All about Annie. I was right the female titan is Annie (not that this matters), but I feel good about myself. This episode featured no action and somehow I felt like it did. The episode had slow pacing but, it was very effective in setting the tone. This episode seemed to be designed to explain Annie and her motivation.  The complexity of the characters were shown in this episode. Annie’s view on humanity, Marlow’s attempt to end corruption and Armin’s hope that he was wrong about Annie. Armin show’s of his intellect once again but it wasn’t enough to fool Annie.

Eren shows his naive mindset when he seems unwilling to believe that Annie is a titan. Mikasa being bad ass was having none of it. She was ready, willing and able to put Annie down. I had to watch this episode twice to get all the little details (like the ring). Overall, this episode showed why Attack on Titan is an unbelievably good anime. So did you think Annie was the Titan? Where you impressed by Armin’s intellect? What about Annie’s philosophy on humanity? Does she make any sense?
