Trusting his power

Izuku Midoriya uses his Black Whip Quirk to grab the piping nearby. He remembers what All Might said to him at the beach, “you can become a hero.” He believes that now he can do anything. This marks a turn in Midoriya’s personality. He was always insecure regarding his abilities. Now he’s displaying tremendous confidence. Vlad King is clearly alarmed at the sight of the Black Whip tendril’s.

All Might notes a difference in the Black Whip. He wonders “what happened to Midoriya in the last few minutes.” Hitoshi jumps backwards, he questions whether Izuku was bluffing when he struggled with his Quirk. At this moment the Black Whip Quirk disappears. Izuku concludes that he’s not yet strong enough to control the Quirk.

Ochaco captures Monoma

Neito attacks Uraraka, when he hurls a metal pipe at her. However, Ochaco blocks it. She has him tied up and is pulling him through the air. She tells him that because of the five minute time limit he has likely lost access to his teammates Quirks. Neito says that he could have extended his time limit to ten minutes. He challenges her to one on one combat.

She doesn’t bite, Neito notes that Class 1-A has been “cautious” due to Hitoshi’s Quirk. He continues to try to get her to answer his questions but she simply puts him into the cell and locks it. Ochaco is one of the characters in this series that’s often overlooked. She is slowly gaining in ability and is making the use of her combat skills.

Class 1-A takes control

With Neito caged, Ochaco rushes to see if he used a Quirk on Izuku. It turns out that he can still use the Twin Impact Quirk from the cage. Shoda lands a punch on Mineta, claiming that “he can easily take him now he’s used to his moves.” Reiko Yanagi uses her Poltergeist Quirk to send pieces of metal at Mina. It all appears that Class 1-A is about to lose when Izuku grabs Hitoshi’s capture weapon pulling him forward. Ochaco then hits Reiko with a karate chop, knocking her out. She then pushes Yui Kodai onto Mineta’s Pop Off balls. Mina lands a devastating punch on Shoda and Izuku pins Hitoshi down.
