My Hero Academia Chapter 213 Review – The Soul’s Whereabouts

The Power of One for All

An unnamed former One For All wielder tells Izuku “not to give up.” He tells him that the black tendrils were a “manifestation of the previous One For All wielder’s Quirk,” Black Whip. The reason that it manifested was because ” Izuku was thinking about how he wanted to capture Neito Monoma, fitting the nature of the Quirk perfectly and so causing it to appear.” The Quirk factors ” of all the previous wielders have been inside One For All for a long time, just sitting inside the small core of the Quirk.” This Quirk is expanding, as the strength of One For All increases.

Izuku gets back to reality

Deku regains his composure. Ochaco explains that “Shinso used his Brainwashing to calm the power down, so there would be nothing to worry about anymore.” As they talk they’re attacked by Neito. Ochaco attacks him with Gunhead Martial Arts, Reiko uses her Poltergeist to throw screws and pieces of metal at Ochaco. She has to doge, giving Neito the chance to escape. Class 1-B regroups, but before they can refocus they’re attacked by Mina and Mineta. A melee breaks out between the five.

One for All’s true power

This chapter only moved the story a little, but the biggest revelation was the true nature of One For All. The assumption so far was that all it did was give Izuku a great amount of strength. Especially, considering that All Might only seemed to use his strength. However, All Might stated that he believed that “the ability to actually interact with previous users of One For All is exclusive to Midoriya.” If what the previous wielder said was true that “the quirk factors of previous holders have merged with the core of One For All and there are six other quirks that Izuku will manifest,” then One for All will change drastically. Through the development of One For All I think we’ll get a greater understanding of the previous holders and their Quirks.

  1. I found this to be interesting. It means that are a whole host of different powers that Izuku will eventually have access to. If this keeps up, he could end up becoming one of the strongest superheroes in fictional history!
Only problem is, hows he gonna explain this to his friends. Should he explain it?

    1. Izuku loves explaining this, although he’s not always clear. I’m curious how he would use all the powers together. He’s definitely gonna be one of the strongest heroes if not the strongest.
