30 Day Marvel Challenge – Day #3: your favorite diva

Medusalith Amaquelin Boltagon

Medusa as a little girl

My friend Roderick J. Fritz over at RJwriting.ink stole my idea for my favorite diva (lol). Check out his 30 Day Marvel Challenge. So who is Medusa? Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, she first appeared in Fantastic Four Vol. 1 #36 (1965). The Queen of the a prehistoric race created by the Kree with Terrigen Mists called Inhumans. She was exposed to those mists as a child and developed the ability to control her hair. This hair can be elongated to twice it’s normal length. She can lift up to a 1.6 tons and she can move her hair in any way she can imagine.

She can bind people with her hair, use it like a whip (that can move faster than the speed of sound) and even pick locks. She is a master thief, often using her hair to aid her. As Queen she is head of a quasi-feudal system. She has an “imperial attitude” that most would expect of a Queen. She was originally reluctant to become Queen, but aimed to preserve the throne for her son, Ahura. As the leader of her people she will stop at nothing to ensure their safety. Medusa has shown that she is not to be messed with. If you challenge her authority you will pay dearly.
