My Hero Academia: Chapter 149 Review, Joi Irinaka defeat

Himiko and Twice join the Precepts

Twice and Himiko meet with Chisaki, he apologizes for murdering Magne. He asks them to explain their Quirks, they do and they’re welcomed to the Eight Precepts of Death. Chisaki doesn’t trust them yet and orders them to remain underground for now.

Mimic’s defeat

Joi Irinaka aka Mimic, becomes enraged altering the labyrinth. Himiko continues to insult Mimic, calling him a “wimp,” who “doesn’t want to admit that he is weak.” She continues to berate him calling him “lame” for hiding himself. Mimic yells loudly, given away his location to Izuku. Using his One For All Full Cowl, he jumps up to the ceiling, kicking it, revealing Mimic.

Shota activates his Quirk, disabling Mimic’s ability. He falls to the ground, with Himiko and Twice telling him that they “will do as they please.” Sir Nighteye throws his Hypermass Seal, hitting him in the face, knocking him out. Everyone is now free of the labyrinth. Finally, we see that Mirio has caught up to Chisaki and Chronostasis, asking to “talk with Chisaki.”

I find Mirio request to “talk” to Chisaki to be strange. Is he going to betray the heroes? Does he believe that he can reason with him? The betrayal of the eight precepts by Himiko and Twice is predictable, it was never convincing that they had any loyalty towards them. Regardless, Mirio is probably in danger, so far in the series none of the heroes have been murder by villains. I wonder if that will happen in this arc.
